| TEXT: | The Jinko festival is a community-based festival and is held for the citizens of the 36 towns under the shrine’s protection. Each town prays to Ebisu, while a mikoshi (portable shrine), in which the mitama (spirit) has been enshrined, is carried through the towns led by Shinto priests. |
