| TEXT: | A regular event held since 1950, Takigi Noh is an established early summer Kyoto event that is popular with both Japanese and foreign visitors. To the backdrop of a Shinto shrine lit up by the flames of bonfire, selected performers from the noh houses of Kanze, Kongo, Konparu, and Okura display their skills. The performances encompass a wide range of traditional theatre, including kyogen, komai and shimai, and are guaranteed to elevate the audience to a world of refined elegance. |
