Take Kyoto Bus 33 from the Eizan Electric Railway’s at Kibuneguchi Station and get off at Kibune

The festival is held at the head shrine of the 500 Kibune shrines scattered throughout Japan. Visitors will be enchanted by the mikoshi, or portable shrine, paraded through the green landscape and the festival’s solemn music echoing across the valleys.  A variety of events will be held at the festival, including the gorgeous Otome Dance and Izumo Shinto music and dance. At 13:30, the mikoshi parade will pass through Kibune town on its way from Honmiya to Okumiya.
