The pottery Festival, widely known as the true symbol of summer in Kyoto, is held between July 18 and 20 each year.  Pottery classes and raku-ware lessons are held alongside markets offering hundreds of thousands of tableware and tea ware items, vases and interior goods, all at discounted prices.
