| TEXT: | Sennyu-ji Temple has a long and close relationship with the Imperial Family. Since Shijo Emperor was buried in Tsukinowa-misasagi (mausoleum) in 1242, it has served as a Gokouge-in or Bodaisho (temple to pray for the ancestors), and called Mitera (Imperial Temple). It is a noble temple with 750 years of a long and distinguished history since its establishment. |
