| TEXT: | While fairs are held every 25th day of the month, as a holy event for the month, the last one in December, is called “Shimai Tenjin” (closing Tenjin), and welcomes approximately 150,000 visitors from all parts of Japan every year. Also,since it is well known as the God of Academics, there are lots of students who take their entrance examinations in January, as well as their parents visiting the shrine to sincerely wish for their children’s success and inscribe their wishes on Ema (wooden plaque). |
