| TEXT: | Koubou Daishi, or “Hatsu Koubou”, the anniversary of the death of the founder of Shingonshu, is celebrated on this day. A memorial service is held in the Daishi Hall where approximately 1,200 stalls cater to crowds each year. It is fun just to see the variety of stalls, many selling plants, antiques, groceries and housewares. Allow plenty of time to look around. |
