| TEXT: | The castle garden is filled with different kinds of cherry blossoms, including Yama-zakura (mountain cherry), Sato-zakura (double-flowered cherry), and Yaebeni-Shidare-zakura (double-petal weeping cherry). These beautiful flowers and the garden itself are illuminated with soft lighting, coloring the spring night. During this limited period, the kitchen of the Ninomaru Goten palace, which is designated an important cultural asset, will be open to public, and there will be ikebana exhibitions and koto performances. There is also a tearoom that offers yet another way to enjoy the cherry blossoms. |
